Niche, a website that creates ratings and reviews of schools and colleges across the United States, published its ranking of the "2023 Best public high schools in Connecticut."

According to the report, the best public high school in the state is Staples High School, located in Westport.

The school was also ranked Connecticut's best college prep public high school and second on the list of high schools with the best teachers in Connecticut.

The following high schools also made the list:

New Canaan High School, ranked second
Darien High School, ranked third
Greenwich High School, ranked fourth
Wilton High School, ranked fifth
